This was the simplest, and most powerful image of the day.

Farmers drove around the Capitol in tractors.

(in red): "Never Vote Republican Again" also holding a palm tree "Fox News Lies" referring to the fake WI protest footage on FOX news showing violence w/ palm trees in the background.
(in tan) "Full Of eXcrement"
Later, when a Fox News correspondant was attempting to cover the protest, I saw him surrounded by protesters yelling, "LIES, LIES, LIES, LIES!"
She said, "We have to keep our spirits up!"
They were singing my least favorite rally song "Solidarity Forever." The words are fine but the tune and arrangement are horribly outdated.
Walker is saying "57% don't like me Ummm is that like more than half?"
Act 250 which outlawed race based mascots has been repealed. Native Americans in our state can once again be depicted like animals and cartoons. Tribes are out protesting too.
Bob: "Your pants are on fire."
Scott Walker: "What do I do if my pants are one fire?"
(arrow pointing to Walker) "Dumb"
"K-9 Urination Area. Piss off, Walker"
"Hello My Name is Scott Walker and I am a Peice of "
I stood on a window sill go get these shots before the crowd was at full strength. We couldn't hear the speeches b/c the power was shut to the outdoor speakers from inside the Capitol yesterday...they'll do anything to shut us up.
This woman grabbed my arm after I took her picture. She said, "It's true. I'll be homeless."
dancers...
These were the singers for the dancers. This was the best song yet. It was super funky and a impromptu band started. I was singing along "Ain't no power like the power o' people and the power o' people say what? WHAT!" More and more voices joined in singing, dancing, and playing instruments and it engulfed hundreds of people in a sub rally w/in the 100,000 total.
“We say healthcare! You say don’t care; We say bargaining, You say I’m king; Healthcare! I don’t care! Bargaining! I’m king! Let’s call the whole bill off!”
Walker’s budget will decrease Medicare, SeniorCare, and BadgerCare which all disproportionably affect the disabled, the poor, vets, and seniors.
"Recycle, Reduce, Recall Republicans" referring to Walker removing the mandate on recycling in WI.
The capital square is surrounded by stores. They advertise if they are friendly to the cause. We wanted to eat at a Subway but there was a sign laying on the ground outside the door that read "Boycott this Subway. Owner is a Tea Partier and Scott Walker supporter."
These are the hardcore folks who slept inside the Capitol for weeks before being forced outside. They didn't go very far.
straight to the point
(Gov. Walker in drag) "Corporate Steet Walker"
"Deputies for Democracy"

I'll remember this day forever...it filled us back up and hopefully some will overflow into our own community.
This better get an EP tomorrow morning.
Do you ever listen to Michael Feldman, host of NPRs "Whaddya Know" program? He was talking about Wisconsin on Saturday and one of the things he said was that Gov. Walker was going to have the phrase "Work Shall Set You Free" engraved above the entrance to the capitol building. That's the same phrase that was on an arch over the entrance to Auschwitz.
Please write more!
In that second picture the tractor is pulling a manure spreader.
Perfect.
I particularly liked "I hated Scott Walker before it was cool!"
and "This is your brain on Koch."
What a Koch-addict and what a Koch-roach Walker is!
May he live to rue the day! And may he get started when his pals in the Legislature get turfed out for having betrayed their constituents at his behest.

You have my support dear.
I especially appreciated the little girl's poster! ;)
BTW, I read somewhere that Walker had to leave a Madison restaurant because so many patrons were hostile to his presence. Sure hope that's true.
At the risk of sounding self-serving, I appreciate you covering Wisconsin right now. Stewart and Colbert haven’t forgotten about us either, but we have been neglected for trivial things…and now a more important crisis in Japan correctly takes most coverage.
But things are not slowing down here, only gathering momentum. There are organized rallies in towns all over the state tomorrow, but I doubt it will be covered outside of WI. Our local news, corporately owned of course – isn’t even paying as much attention anymore. But we aren’t slowing down…I have never seen anything so grassroots in my life.
So many of you express wanting to help more. You are helping. Let me tell you just a few ways that OSer’s have helped me personally: advice! On everything from how to attract major music acts, how to secure a big rally sign from tipping over, politics, insider info on movements, recall efforts of your own, checking in on WI posts, keeping us in your prayers, corporate mentality and tricks, and giving money to the cause! In fact, that money given from all over the world has now enabled organizations, such as Advancing Wisconsin (AW) to hire workers who will specifically work with the recall efforts. I had a phone interview with them an hour ago - but I had to decline the position. I am so upset about it. But, they basically needed a very flexible person available 24/7 for the efforts. Obviously w/2 kids and a teacher for a husband (who works insanely LONG hours) this just isn't possible. It would've been ideal otherwise.
Thank-you all so very much.
Chuck – Thanks man!
Satori – you are slacking – I caught several typos right now...
Margaret – “that this rape of public employees may have done more damage to the tea party and the Far Right than any amount of rhetoric could have.” It certainly feels that way, I can’t wait for the April election to know for sure.
Paul – I know! A lot of potty jokes here ...
Shiral – if you look at the guy holding that sign – he was standing there filming everyone taking pictures of HIS sign…it was like a competition there – who had the best prop! Was hilarious…
Mission! Glad you liked it – thanks
Sparking – so you are in AZ with Snippy – hey? I’ll have to stop by your blog to see what is happening now
Gary – You and the rest of us! I just don’t understand why noone else is coming here other than Jesse Jackson (twice now) and Michael Moore. Is this an indicator about how scary this thing is? I just don’t know…We had Tony Shalhoub (from Monk) and Susan Sarandon tho – but we need LEADERS and MUSICAL ACTS!!!!
Scanner – thanks for the “heads up” – I didn’t know that until you told me :)
Sheila - “All our news is 'their' news.” I know exactly what you mean…people are furious about that here…
Snippy! I’m glad you could do that. I don’t know how to increase it before I download so I had to pic the bigger pictures or write in the captions…thanks for putting in the extra work!
Cranky – I just love that name, I smirk every time I see you. I am going to have to look that up about Walker’s restaurant visit – I bet it is totally true…

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Satori - I changed (4) "capital"s to "Capitol"s...I can't even blame lack of sleep this time b/c I slept for 12 hours before popping this out...OS is a forgiving bunch...THANK-YOU!
Kathy - great to see you! I'm glad to help get the story out...
My sister has been onthe square taking pictures every day.
Her photos show completely different people and signs than yours.
It's amazing how big this is.
I cannot imagine how recycling is wasting budget money, or mascot names, or half a dozen other stupid things this man is doing.
I have tears in my eyes. This Is Awesome! This is the Way it Should Be!
Get Up! Stand Up!
And if I were the waiter, boy would I have fun making him wait, and adding a bit of ex-lax to his coffee!
If Scott Walker had to be hospitalized... say to have his appendix out.... Is there a nurse left in Madison who would so much as empty his bed pan?
I hope this guy will soon be unwelcome in every restaurant in town. May he find himself a pariah of the first water!
I am so glad to see Wisconsin mobilize and see the workers stick up for themselves and for each other, but so sorry for the reason that prompted it. Wonder if Walker has ever really paid attention to that law of the land quote? If not, he should be marched in and made to read it aloud about 500 times until he gets it.
Congratulations on the EP and cover. I'll donate whatever I can when possible!

Marcellaqb – Sen. Gaylord Nelson – founder of Earth Day/started recycling, etc… is FROM WI!! So just like public unions began and ended in WI so will recycling…he’s ruining the earth for my grandkids and that one makes me boil
ConnieMack – someone had that Marley tune blaring at the Capitol – it is by far the best protest song ever - you gotta move..
Panaceia – my pleasure, I’m glad to do my little part – and a fun one at that…
Shiral – remind me never to get on your bad side…yeah if he was doing this in a more “dangerous” state than WI he might have to wear riot gear around
Unofficial recall song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BruvE_EKwI
"Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will be killed due to your actions [over] the last eight weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell."
That was taken from an email received by one of the GOP Senators in WI. So much for civility.
DJohn – I didn’t forget that – it isn’t relevant at all to this post obviously. Besides, it is one crack pot protestor among a half million peaceful ones that have been at the Capitol. So let's take a look at the Neo-Nazi death threats against Obama and place that blame on your group Mr. DJohn. Is that any more relevant? I think not...
