Bio
I used to write about random things on OS, the first place I ever wrote publicly. But the political unrest that began in Wisconsin early in 2011, consumed me. My posts here are now all things Wisconsin either through documentational personal posts of the continuing struggle (which only appear on Open Salon) or through cross posts first published on WIvoices.org. I founded that organization in order to feature verbatim interviews with other Wisconsinites. These primary documents bear witness to the times that we live in and return the power to the people - where it belongs. WIvoices.org.

TRIBUTE TO: ANOTHER STEVE S - YOU WON THE SLOGAN WARS IN WI!

Rate: 11 Flag

Several posts ago I asked yah'll for help with new slogans for our candidate Shelly Moore in the Senate District 10 election battle.

Another Steve S - YOU WON!!!!

You are no longer just another steve...you are now The Steve...The Steve.

A very talented grassroots gal, Krista, created our webpage while at home chasing rugrats...and you made that too!

Your slogan is one of the 3 choices for signs.  Anyone can print these off to carry, put in their yard, or put on their car.  My husband put this in my car this morning.  I'll drive your slogan every dang day man - check out my car!

Steve - if you click on the "haddanuffa" link on that website - it opens up nice and big...print one off man - you are famous here...people talk and laugh about it!
Congrats to Steve, but shouldn't the "haddanuffa" be bigger? Is anybody gonna lean close enuf to read it, or will they just see MOORE and remember her name, for better or worse?
Oh, waitaminute, my bad. Moore is our guy. ( knew that.)
Still might be better to have the "haddanuffa" bigger. Would be devastating on buttons.
I like it. Clever, catchy and to the point. Great job, Steve.
Hey Matt- yep, needs to be bigger - but, you know...we don't really know what we're doing half the time...
When you've recalled Walker, you may be able to hear the shouts and applause drifting up from Illinois. Heck, I may even drive up to take you to dinner! SO EXCITED FOR YOU! w love and admiration, and a rate of course!
Congrats to Steve and to you. I hope you get them out of there!
The sign is stunning. I am pleased to be of some help in your efforts to defeat the forces of evil in the world. It's the least I could do.
A catchy little number. Hope it's catchy for 51%.R
R/ Congrats Steve and Heidi!

Thought you might like to check out the Huffington Post article on how the Republicans are speeding up the agenda to disenfranchise voters etc. to thwart to recall effort. There were over 15,000 comments and a whole lot of great slogans. I participated in a lot of hand to hand combat with the trolls on this one. If you have HP account, make me a friend/fan and go to article and comment section and click on friends and you'll see a lot of the back and forth, which yielded some very good usuable material for the campaign. Here's link to one of my comments ( the one you liked about honesty and sincerity).

The Harsdorf = Walker sign appealed to me a lot!
Congrats to Steve. Great guy. R
Now that's some good stuff. Ron, congratulations on fighting off the trolls, but I'd say that what we need to do is destroy their home base. Take on the lying sons of bitches the trolls follow and we will destroy them. For example, take that son of a bitch Walker down and the trolls can go screw themselves.

The trolls are like the arms and legs. But if you cut off the head, the arms and legs are useless.
Cool sign and congrats to Steve S for the idea! Best of luck to you all in Wisconsin! 8)
