Today was perfect with weather at seventy five degrees and a slight breeze. I could see the Spring turning into Summer slowly slowly and I know that the days are getting shorter now. Hot days are coming when you can hardly breath or find relief away from a fan. So I am enjoying today.
I live in an area that has some of the best weather in the world. At least that is a rumor I heard. Every place has some good and some bad. It was darn cold this winter but there was no snow to shovel and no blizzards. So maybe that makes it just about perfect. You have to have some balance. Everyday can't be seventy five.
I have heard there is a village in the Andes that has just about perfect weather every day. The elevation and lack of development give it pure clean air. I think the place I live has wonderful air and I try to take deep breaths every time I think of it. There are rattlesnakes here under the rocks. There are no ticks to speak of or scorpions tho. So I guess that makes it pretty good.
As I sit here with my door open and hear the birds cawing and chirping I feel very lucky to be here. I really am not sure how it all happened that I am here. How do any of us get where we are? I really think I was just riding the river of life and got tossed on shore here after the last tsunami. Flotsom and Jetsom are my neighbors.
When the heat hits in August I won't be so happy but by then the water in the ocean will be warm enough to jump in and I plan to spend my days at the beach which is a half hour drive away. When the few trees that can are in red leaf for the fall I know I will be out there taking photos. The weather rarely freezes here but it is just enough to give us a pretty show once in awhile.
I am counting my blessings with an attitude of gratitude for today. It was a perfect day for making love.
