I think I have a little crush on Salman. He was on the John Daily show joking about being on the death threat list of Iran. I hadn't realized how many books he has written.
Apparently I am not the only one who is attracted to him...
When he was in trouble for the Satanic Verses I was worried about him. I thought he was very brave to publish such a powerful book. I never read it. I would like to but books seem to have eluded me since I got this computer and my eyesight got poor and my money dried up. But I still think he is an amazing writer because of his courage.
His new book is Joseph Anton. It is his memoir of living under a fatwa. He admitted that it was a difficult way to get experience for a book. It makes me feel trivial in my blogging about flies in the garden and family when he can write about a fatwa.
Yes a smart, brave guy turns me on. Maybe it is the goatee and the ability to wear an orange shirt. Maybe it is those ears. But there is something sexy about this fellow. I want to read him.
