Nawlins Sweet Milk Punch

Rate: 13 Flag

1 cup fresh milk

Dash of cream

1 oz light Rum

1 oz Bourbon

Maple Syrup- I love to use grade B, the flavor is so intense

Freshly grated nutmeg

Ice or milk frozen into cubes

Combine everything but the nutmeg in a glass and stir to combine. Add the maple syrup to taste. When you've added just enough to cause a small involuntary moan to escape your lips when you taste it, it's done, and you are about to begin. Grate the nutmeg over the top to add fragrance and a tiny hit of heat and spice.

You can freeze milk into cubes so melting ice doesn't water down the drink, but frankly, that has never been a problem. Everyone seems to finish the drink before the ice melts. More importantly, have enough for seconds.

When I drink this I am reminded of the love scene in one of my favorite movies. The Big Easy. When she leans back with the milky pearls at her throat and her blouse open to her waist and moans in gentle ecstasy...   sigh...

I just smile my secret smile and have another sip.

I moaned just reading the recipe. So easy and all I'd need to buy is a small carton of cream.

Zul you never cease to amaze me. And yes they get maple syrup in New Orleans. Hello.
I knew I should have gone to the liquor store last time I was in town. Bookmarking this for later--it sounds divine.
