The Kanzius Machine:
A homemade machine that uses radio waves and nano technology to target cancer cells was featured on last night's episode of "60 Minutes". John Kanzius had leukemia. With no medical background, or even college, he built his machine and used it on himself. The link has a very moving story about how the show followed Mr. Kanzius for more than a year, before he succumbed to his disease.
Verizon is poking at Apple's I Phone with it's own version, a Motorola product that is powered by Google Android 2.0, is packed with 5-Megapixel camera with flash, multi-tasking enabled, physical and touch input options, and an interchangeable battery.
The ad is titled "droid oes" and talks about what i-phone doesn't. Crass. Truly crass. Rollout date is rumored to be Oct 30.
Weirdness: George Lucas owns the rights to the word “Droid”, so something's afoot. There's more news at TechBuzz and at phandroid

I didn't KNOW that there were power guzzling TV's! Did you? Well, California is the first to do something about it!
How to spot a hotel that is in foreclosure. This is serious. People could be left in the cold when a hotel shuts down suddenly.

You should be writing for SNL.
But, it's not the complete decriminalization, it's for medical marijuana, so the doped out lab technician still needs to go to jail before he pokes a hole through our arms!
Rated.
which brings me to backyard asshole non-scientists - I hope they lock those spaceship balloon nitwits away, or at least fine them substantially. I'm so SICK to death of these people who feel their entitlement to 15 minutes plus of fame and fortune. Using their kids to perpetrate fraud is unforgivably cynical. Greedy fame whores, the two of them. Book em!
The news is always going from the ridiculous to the sublime, lately. Geez.
Gwendolyn: Thanks! You inspire me to do next Monday's newswrap.
The Kanzius Machine story made me cry.

O
Hy: I was about to boo hoo, also. What a story.
"Unleash an army of destructive droids. Programmed for stealth and destruction, assassin droids are used by gangsters, smugglers and crooks on every planet from Coruscant to Tatooine."
I want to call Tatooine too!
Theo: Thanks for your support of the Monday Wrap!
Michael: I want one so badly, I can taste it, because of the apps. Verizon hasn't had as many apps up to now. But I always wait a few months for people to use and rate them and for the reviews to come out.
Siflynn: Them droids, them droids...wasn't there a folk song about that?
McDelt: Thanks!
