Blog Annex
November 30, 2008 -- What I did today. Took some publicity photos for the group Al-Andalus. Here are a couple --

The two on the right are Tarik and Julia Banzi, the core of Al-Andalus. Julia was my first guitar teacher. Tarik plays oud, percussion, and a number of other instruments. He is also an accomplished artist.

The fellow on the left is Charlie Bisharat. He has performed all over the world with a number of musical groups. Today is the first time I met him. I believe he's going on tour with Tarik and Julia when they go to Dubai. Charlie is a great guy, very personable and fun to be around, as are Tarik and Julia.

Flamenco Guitar
Vicente Amigo playing a medley of his Callejon de la Luna and Tio Arango. One of the fantastic young flamenco guitarists.
Tomatito accompanying the great Sheikh Ahmed al Tuni. This is from the opening of the movie Vengo. Not really flamenco, but great music from a flamenco guitarist.
Manolo Sanlucar, from a scene in Carlos Saura's Flamenco movie.

There's not much content here at this time. This is a work in progress.
Some of this would be a referernce for me, some a reference for other people.
So the interesting question is whether other people could see this unpublished post. The sidebar is Ok, but it doesn't allow for much space. If this works it could be a way for people to have a permanent archive of information. Other people could access it through a link on the sidebar. So I'm going to put that link in and see what happens.
