Well there is no doubt about one thing: Al Gore is going to be REALLY upset.

Will he have to give back his Nobel Prize? They seem to be giving those out rather hastily these days anyway. Maybe he should.

But what he is really going to flip over is the fact that his money making little scam, otherwise known as "global warming" or "climate change" or whatever it is they are calling it these days isn't working anymore.

Apparently, "global warming" is broken.

Just when things were starting to line up nicely for Mr Gore, this had to happen.

What's interesting is the fact that now the very same people who told us that the Earth was going to die or be destroyed due to some man-made climate catastophe are now telling us that "global warming" has stopped.

What's more, they are saying they don't know why. Interesting.

So my question is this. If they can't tell why it's supposedly stopped, then how do they know what really caused it to begin with? Hmmmm.

But I digress. I should really let them speak for themselves.

Some of these statements are precious so I have to share them with you. Here is the link to the actual article: http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,662092,00.html

"It cannot be denied that this is one of the hottest issues in the scientific community," says Jochem Marotzke, director of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg. "We don't really know why this stagnation is taking place at this point."

(They claim) global temperatures increased by an average of 0.7 degrees Celsius (1.25 degrees Fahrenheit) from the 1970s to the late 1990s.

"At present, however, the warming is taking a break," confirms meteorologist Mojib Latif of the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences in the northern German city of Kiel. Latif, one of Germany's best-known climatologists, says that the temperature curve has reached a plateau. "There can be no argument about that," he says. "We have to face that fact."

So the German "global warming" bubbas are perplexed.

The problem isn't that they don't know why the warming has stopped. The problem is they don't realize that they've been getting duped.

What they need to do is ask their colleagues in the UK. Apparently they knew this was all a big joke the whole time. And now, thanks to an anonymous computer geek hacker...so does the rest of the world.

Officials at a key global warming research center in the United Kingdom have authenticated a series of e-mails and other documents apparently taken from their computer system by a hacker, but they cannot explain what scientists in internal exchanges meant by references to a "trick" that would "hide the decline" of global temperatures nor by instructions to delete contrary data.

According to the Australian Investigate magazine the 62 megabyte Zip file with documents, e-mail exchanges and other information from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit apparently was posted by an unidentified hacker on a Russian web server.

As Author James Dellingpole writes in a London Telegraph column: the most damaging revelations indicate climate-change scientists may have "manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause."

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/jamesdelingpole/100017393/climategate-the-final-nail-in-the-coffin-of-anthropogenic-global-warming/

Here are some of the now exposed email exchanges:

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

and

The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.

and

Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis. Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar to do likewise.

and

“This was the danger of always criticising the skeptics for not publishing in the “peer-reviewed literature”. Obviously, they found a solution to that–take over a journal! So what do we do about this? I think we have to stop considering “Climate Research” as a legitimate peer-reviewed journal. Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal. We would also need to consider what we tell or request of our more reasonable colleagues who currently sit on the editorial board…What do others think?”

So as you can see the boys in the UK were playing fast and loose with the facts and were doing whatever was necessary to hide the truth.

What are we to conclude from these two stunning developments?

1. Obviously "global warming", "climate change" whatever you want to call it can NOT be mankind's doing. If that were true then it would be continuing to warm. However, the fact that there has been a DECADE LONG pause in this cycle should cause us to go back and actually look at what else might be causing this and see if there is anything we can do about it. Quickly before everyone is forced to buy a hybrid!!!

2. There would appear to be a "vast conspiracy" among "global warming" believers, scientists, researches, proponents, etc to ignore the truth and the science and to "adjust" or "manipulate" the data in such a way as to cause belief in their hypothesis when the in reality the data shows something quite different.

3. There is also an organized and aggressive movement to discredit anyone who is not "playing the game" and an effort has been made to ruin and/or silence these skeptics.

What does all this mean? It means that Al Gore and his "global warming" disciples have some explaining to do and it means that you can feel good about driving your HUMMER again.

I'm not the biggest fan of Sen. Lindsey Graham but I was glad to see him press AG Holder on this. This was an interesting exchange.

In light of the decision by Obama to let Holder try KSM and other terrorists in a CIVILIAN court this seems kind of "inconvenient".

This is beyond embarrassing now. It's just pathetic. Why doesn't he just genuflect from now on? You have to admit though...that is a textbook bow if I've ever seen one. I wonder if they were also given some DVD's. Maybe Pearl Harbor?

For those of you who may have forgotten...

UPDATE:

November 18, 2009-ABC's Jake Tapper reports that at least one Japanese newspaper is not printing the picture of the president's mortifying bow because the Japanese are embarrassed by his behavior. A scholar of traditional Japan tells Mr. Tapper, "The bow… did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms… The last thing the Japanese want or need is a weak-looking American president."

Another day, another bad decision by the Obama Administration.

In his infinite wisdom our hapless President has decided that it's a really good idea to bring some terrorists to New York and to put them on trial.

These aren't just ANY terrorists mind you. Among them is the infamous KSM, the architect of 9/11.

Obama believes that this is "justice" and he intends to have his Attorney General, Eric Holder seek the death penalty.

Amazing.

So let me get this straight. The United States is going to try KSM and others and seek to put them to death for crimes of terrorism.

Why? We have confessions as well as admissions, some from KSM himself, that he did in fact plan and orchestrate the 9/11 attack and carried it out under the orders of Osama himself.

So why the trial?

Many, mostly liberals I imagine, will say "This is our system of justice."

And they would be right except for 0ne, small, thing...it's OUR system.

KSM and the other terrorists that were rounded up do NOT need to be afforded due process. They are enemy combatants who are in essence prisoners of war.

Technically, we don't have to return them or free them until the war is over. Is the war against al Queda over? I didn't think so.

In fact, they don't even qualify under the Geneva Convention because they are not fighting with the consent of any one country or nation.

They are independent operators. Outlaws.

This is exactly why we should have set up the military tribunals at Gitmo and summarily executed every one of them.

Remember, this is what they want anyway. Since it's the holiday season, I say we grant their wish!! Remember, it's better to give than to receive.

I say we GIVE them a bullet through their skull in front of a firing squad.

These trials are a very, bad idea and will set a precedent.

The lawyers for these idiots will be able to cross-examine OUR intelligence officials and all of this information will become part of the public record.

Apparently, the Obama Administration hasn't hamstrung our intelligence forces enough in this country so this will most certainly assist in that cause.

Obama refuses to understand that this is not a law enforcement issue, it's an intelligence issue and should be treated as such.

I'm not the only one who thinks this is a bad idea either. Apparently, some of the familes who lost loved ones on 9/11 also think this is a bad idea and have condemned these trials.

I have some questions about how these are going to be directed as well:

Will the defendants be able to take the 5th Amendment at some point?

Will they be afforded "rights of the accused" like all other defendants in a criminal trial?

Will their lawyers be granted discovery like any other trial?

Will these proceedings be open to the public or will there be a gag order imposed?

Will there be protection for the jury from reprisals?

Will the press be allowed in to report on the daily proceedings?

This is dangerous for many reasons but the biggest of these is the unexpected outcome of a jury trial.

What will the government do if there is a hung jury, mistrial or God forbid an acquittal?

This is something that I think needs to be talked about because we are walking on very dangerous ground here.

What happens if the government LOSES?

What then?

Do they walk out free men?

Don't think for a minute that al Queda isn't LOVING this attention either.

This will make them superstars in the terrorist community and we will ALL be talking about...them!!

Don't be surprised if KSM or his cohorts launch into long diatribes about the evils of America, Capitalism, the West, etc.

They will finally be given a pedestal from which to spew their hatred and it will most likely be on the evening news for weeks.

In the event that they ARE found guilty, they will then be brought into our prison system here in America where there is fertile recruiting ground for Islamic Jihadists and for those who hate this country.

What a great idea.

Let's take a sworn enemy of the United States who wants nothing more than to die for his cause and put him a place where he is surrounded by people who have nothing else to lose at this point in their lives.

Talk about a recipe for disaster.

Like I said, another day, another bad decision.
