It's time we stop considering nuclear power based on reactor designs from the 60's and focus on modern walk-away safe designs.

http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/advanced.html

Here is a list of new advanced reactor designs from the NRC.

In the future we will have to redesign our urban infrastructure to make high density living more palatable. (Not finished)

I constantly hear from pundits and average joes that the world would be better if we simply applied "Common Sense" to all our problems. I think the problem is that we have, and this sense has failed us.

Generally people consider Common Sense to be an understanding of the world held by most common people, not based on scientific or rigorous research. In an age of Science, we must learn to base our decisions based on facts, not gut instinct. This means we must research the problems and their causes, and use that information to guide our decisions.

Next time someone tells you that we need more "Common Sense", tell them we need less of it and more of "Factual Sense".
