Dave and his buddies were hanging out and planning an upcoming fishing trip. Unfortunately, he had to tell them that he

couldn't go this time because his wife wouldn'tlet him. After a lot of teasing and name calling, Dave headed home frustrated.

The following week when Dave's buddies arrived at the lake to set up camp, they were shocked to see Dave. He was already sitting at

the campground with a cold beer, swag rolled out, fishing rod in hand, and a camp fire glowing.

"How did you talk your missus into letting you come Dave?"

"I didn't have to," Dave replied.

Yesterday, when I left work , I went home and slumped down in my chair with a beer to drown my sorrows because I couldn't go fishing. Then the ol' lady snuck up behind me and covered my eyes and said, 'Surprise'."

"When I peeled her hands back, she was standing there in a beautiful see through negligee and she said, ' Carry me into the

bedroom, tie me to the bed and you can do whatever you want'.....

        So, Here I am!"

Drops Ball...yet again

The federal government has again agreed to delay the effective date of the final rule mandating use of the E-Verify program by federal contractors and subcontractors. The new effective date for the rule is Sept. 8. As such, federal solicitations issued before this date will not contain the contract clauses the rule would impose on employers. During the interim, ongoing litigation challenging the rule, as well as further review by the Obama administration, will continue.

The rule originally was issued Nov. 14, 2008, by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Council, and originally scheduled to become effective Jan. 15. The effective date has since been delayed several times.

The E-Verify mandate in this final rule includes troublesome requirements for employers, which business groups fought successfully during the Congressional debate regarding reauthorization of the voluntary E-Verify program during fall 2008. These requirements include vicarious liability for subcontractors, reverification of the existing work force and making the program mandatory instead of voluntary.

To view a statement from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announcing the rule's most recent delay, click here.

Vaseline

A man doing market research for the Vaseline Company knocked at the door and was greeted by a young woman with three small children running around at her feet.

'I'm doing some research for Vaseline. Have you ever used the product?'

She said, 'Yes, my husband and I use it all the time.'

'If you don't mind my asking,' he said, 'what do you use it for?'

'We use it for sex,' she said..

The researcher was a little taken aback. 'Usually people lie to me and say they use it on a child's bicycle chain or to help with a gate hinge. But in fact, I know that most people do use it for sex... I admire you for
your honesty. Since you've been so frank so far, can you tell me exactly HOW you use it for sex?'

The woman said, 'I don't mind telling you at all. My husband and I put it on the doorknob and it keeps the kids out.'

I must say quite a few of you have noticed that mondays are not my favorite day of the week. Maybe becuase i rest so much during the weekend that i am not ready for it to end? HeII who knows but i do know i have never been a fan of mondays.

When i was a young rambler i did not want the weekend to end. I knew monday was going to be a start of a new week....AT SCHOOL. I'm sure this is why i started to hate mondays right out of the barrel.

As a responsible adult now, i have grown to detest mondays even more. I know earlier as a youth the reason was obvious, well for some. But as an adult I should be looking forward to a productive week, getting things done in hopes of returnng to Emerald Isle where i can be lazy again, if but only for a few days.Could it be that i hate mondays becuase i am lazy, one might think ? Well let's look at it from that P.O.V.

I started working when i was 9 years old in the fields of tobacco and did so up to the age of 15. When i moved on from cropping, i went on into the wonderful world of working with the public in a place that was once called Pepperoni's. I worked in the back, cooking, cleaning, dishes, whatever needed doing i wanted to do it. so i guess Lazy cannot be blamed there. I was living at home and had no responsibilities at the time and just wanted to work. As time went on more responsibilites would progress towards me. Car payments, insurance, gas money, dates..etc..i actually needed money then but i did not mind working to achieve it. After my years of being a teen age stud rambler of CHS, i went into the construction field of work and did so for a lil over 20 years. Metal roof installation, then onto oversees. If you never have worked on a metal roof in the summer days of North Carolina, you can see why one would not call me lazy at this point in my life. So i am sure Lazy can be counted out.

Now i have a job where i oversee construction and do consulting and observations, surveys and sometimes actual construction itself. I love my job and Often look forward to coming into work becuase the atmospehere is addiciting. times are a tad slow here at the moment so when that happens i can surf the web..whatever. The present job i have does not make me NOT want to come to work but on the contrary. it makes me look forward to a new work week.

So why is it i cannot stand mondays????

I'll Be Danmed iffin I Know....

May 18 to May 31 is the annual “Click it or Ticket” seat belt use campaign being conducted by law enforcement officers throughout the USA. The below article published by the National Safety Council.

"Thousands of law enforcement officers across the nation will enforce seat belt laws May 18-31 during the annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign. This year's campaign will focus on teen drivers and nighttime driving. Research (.pdf file) from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that of the 4,540 16- to 20-year-old passenger vehicle occupants killed in 2007, approximately 2,502 were unbelted at the time of the crash. The odds of being killed in a motor vehicle crash are three times greater at night and if the driver is not using a seat belt. In 2007, 65 percent of the 16- to 20-year-olds killed in nighttime crashes were unbelted at the time. Seat belt use is the most effective protection against serious crash injuries, reducing the risk by 50 percent, according to NHTSA. In 2008, seat belt use nationwide was 83 percent. The Department of Transportation estimates that 1,652 lives could be saved and 22,373 serious injuries avoided each year on America's roadways if seat belt use rates rose to 90 percent in every state. New DOT data also estimates that seat belts saved approximately 15,147 lives in 2007. "
