so, we got the whole scandal. dont pretend you dont know.

what i find interesting is that, once again, its the women who are skewered.

as it has been since time immemorial.

this place is filled with women i would not want to know in real life, and teddy and robin are not them.

for the people i would have enjoyed knowing in real life, well, as teddy said someone said, lemme go find the quote... "when shitty people are not only surviving, but thriving, its time for good people to get out of there."

it's nasty and germy to watch, the dogpiles on the rabbit you all are so fond of. it makes me feel like a scummy hypocrite participant if i dont speak up, and there is too much to speak up to around here anymore.

I am going to post here, word for word, what his communication log said today. First, I will say that he got 34 plusses and 4 minuses today. Not as good as 37 and 1 or 34 and 1, but here was the issue, word for word:

"... would not stop talking about his weenis (the skin on the back of his arm) but he kept saying things like, "I have a large weenis and it sucks when you get old, your weenis sags and when I was little I had one piece pajamas with a rip and my weenis hung out." He was asked to stop but didn't, got 1 check. When someone said the paper smelled weird, he said, "that's what she said."

and forgive me, i laughed. those weenis comments were too funny and stupid. i told him it didnt matter that i find it funny, its still not appropriate for school, and he can't use the computer tonight.

and since he got home from school, he has called the foremost falconer in the country to ask if they could discuss falconry. because he just read the my side of the mountain trilogy again. and he spoke very maturely and wonderfully to the man. who gave him another number. which he called, and spoke very well to the man there. who gave him another number, of a man who happens to live about 2 miles away as the falcon flies, and so he is setting up a meeting with the man for the day after thanksgiving.

i dont think of anyone on here as being sexy. some of the girls are prettier than others, sure. but sessy?

i mean, mark ruffalo isnt here, so i am sexy-man-free. unless i am thinking of the self that comes through in writing.

in which case, i would definitely pick squirrel, because there is nothing sexier than a man who loves his family, is there? no, there is not.

i would pick mikelk, because his poems so often move me, and speak such truth. he could make up love poems all day long. real love poems, not passionate shepherd nonsense (which i also love, btw).

i would pick arthur james, for being a staunch advocate for me. isnt that what we all look for in a mate? staunch advocacy? the pictures in his poems are also pretty rockin.

i would pick con chapman, who every time i read, i say to myself, WHY dont you read him every single day? is there ANYTHING better than laughing??

i would pick steve b, who i begin to think is a secret OS angel.

i would pick coogansbluf, who shares my love of lebowski and therefore could always keep the black moods away.

i would pick rictresa - for loving his theresa so well, and also for giving us all such a beautiful site. imagine os without ric's work.

i would pick bbe, whose politics i just love, tho i also love when he just plays around, which he doesnt do so much since he is busy trying to save us all. you all, really. i already got it.

i would pick tink, for all the obvious reasons. i mean, how did he get a cat avatar with the exact same expression as his old one??

i would pick catamite bastard, for the beautiful heart that burst through every one of his posts. but he left us, so i cant pick him.

i would pick scanner, who runs the gamut on topics, and always always entertains and informs. and who has no idea what a good writer he is - modesty is always attractive.

except in john b, our resident curmudgeon. he would keep a girl on her toes, with his laughing and kvetching in equal parts.

and oh SNAP! bill s, just for being him.

i noted this morning that someone said to someone else on here that they always operate from deep compassion.

yet, no one always operates from deep compassion.

i have no doubt, and you shouldnt either, that the dalai lama gets annoyed by assholes, and at least in his head has a thing or two to say to them.

i have no doubt, and you shouldnt either, that even the dalai lama sometimes is tired, sometimes hungry, sometimes perturbed by something over which he has no control, is worried - and takes it out on someone else just a little bit.

and he is the dalai lama. and none of us are.

so why would we assume that anyone on this site is infallibly good?

i am just curious, because to me it is an impossible assumption - oh, he/she is always good, and cant possibly have misbehaved.

my mother didnt even saintify her sons, so this whole sainting of regulars is out of my scope.

i get the sainting of people who lived long ago - to help us believe that there is something greater than ourselves out there, and that miracles are possble (both of which i believe, btw).

but, does anyone have an explanation for why we would need to saint-ify our peers?

i do believe that peer-sainting comes from a need in the person deifying, not from the need of the sainted. but i dont understand the need.

anyone? bueller?
