Crisis :(-- Crisis averted (sorta) :)
SEPTEMBER 26, 2011 2:08PM
Topics: would have upset her too. : ), i would have called my grammie and canceled which would have not only made me upset, i don’t have to slave for hours to get something done asap for an event that’s not happening for almost 3 weeks. if it weren’t for you and your 15 minutes, you’ve also taught me that it doesn’t have to be perfect every single time, not only have you thought me not to sweat the small stuff, which will help make things go smoother tomorrow afternoon with clearing the chaos :) thank you flylady, and just be happy that a lot of my things will be given to a new home tomorrow, i don’t care!!! i’m not going nuts and over working myself i’m going to just leave it how it is, a bed sitting in my hall way and the spare room door wide open. and guess what, with books piled to be sent away in the morning, i instead congratulated myself on making a huge dent in a room no one has touched in almost a year!(it was almost over flowing to the point the door wouldn’t open much lol ) so here i am, when i knew i only had a little time to get it ready. but!!! i stopped. i thought to myself wait! it’s not like my grammie’s going to be here tomorrow! i have a good amount of time before she shows, i hadn’t even made it half way through the room! i started to beat myself up for taking those breaks, and other little odds and ends that i’ve been finding. thus far all of my things are being picked up tomorrow morning. : ) all of a sudden the time came to go get the bed, porcelain dolls i’ve “collected” since i was 5, i posted everything from extra fabric grocery bags (i had almost 100! holy moly!) books from child hood until adult, but i didn’t want to wait for someone to “find” the money to buy my “prized things” *cough* clutter *cough* so, took pictures and posted everything thus far in that room on the yard sale site for free! sure i could have gotten a pretty penny for the stuff, i had to get it all cleaned out and sorted before i brought the bed to the house. (by this time i had about 4 hours) so 15 minutes at a time i went through boxes, after all i’ve lived in this apartment for over a year and none of it’s been touched for anything then moving aside and piling up to make more room! ugh! so i had a time line, nothing in this room made me smile. nothing in this room touched me or held any significance for me, oh lord what have i got myself into? boxes and books and mail and pictures and more boxes and dolls. all my “prized” things that i couldn’t move without! just sitting there waiting to be displayed and loved. that’s when i realized, look and cautiously put my hand on the knob (don’t want any little trolls and goblins to attack if startled lol) i poke my head in the room and i see that daunting task, but it is better than nothing! and better than paying 600-1000 dollars on a bed that will only be used for 3 weeks ( my husband and i have no kids) so i emailed the lady and she said i could have it but i had to pick it up myself! issue number 2, a perfectly good bed for 40 dollars :) sure it's a twin, and i’ve never been alone for surgery, problemtalk about a major crisis! i’m getting a form of surgery on the 25th, crisis, spare room, flylady, germany, grandmother, cleaning
